About us

–1982: Creation of the “Gym-Nidderaanwen” under the auspices of the BBC Grengewald-Hostert (President Jos MOUTON); due to space restrictions, initially only 1 hour on Mondays.

–1996: Foundation of “Summerwalking Nidderaanwen-Betzder asbl

–1999: “Nordic & Walk Luxembourg asbl” was born, as NordicWalking found its remarkable ascent abruptly; this young sport motivates both beginners and former top athletes;

–2004: foundation of the “Fitness-Club Nidderaanwen” in June (president Liliane Mouton) and creation of a 2nd sports hall => the training offer could finally grow;

– 2016 : change of presidency of N&W Luxemburg to Michaela Weirig

– 2019 : in July, the Niederanven fitness club celebrated its 15th anniversary and the farewell of Lilian Mouton as president.
– 2019 : from 4-6 October, N&W celebrated 20 years of Nordic Walking in Luxembourg with a big international event

– 2020=> 2 became 1, i.e. “MOVIN’andethana asbl” was created from the merger of the local clubs “FitnessClubNiederanven” and “Nordic&Walk Luxembourg asbl” and since then offers all activities under one roof.

-2024: Statute reform & renaming of the association to “MOVIN’”
